About Us

Newport Consulting Group was incorporated in 1989. We began as a spin-off of Price Waterhouse (now called Price sample Waterhouse Coopers or PWC). Our early focus was on serving mid-market companies with systems consulting projects such as selecting software packages and managing enterprise software implementations.

In 1994 we conducted a series of management education seminars that heralded the emerging genre of new enterprise software packages. At that time we began working with a package called Solomon which is now known as Dynamics SL in of the Microsoft Dynamics product family. Today we have the largest Dynamics SL customer base in Southern California. And we work with the entire Microsoft Dynamics mid-market product line: Dynamics GP (formerly Great Plains) and Dynamics NAV (formerly Navision).
